Sarria

Sarria: Nowadays it is one of the most populated places of the Way in Galicia. It was founded by Alfonso IX when he made the pilgrimage to Compostela. In the XIII century it was an important, obligatory point on the route of pilgrims, for whose shelter several hospitals were built, being one of the most important the big hospital of Magdalena.

Sarria : Hoy es una de las localidades más pobladas del Camino en Galicia. Fue fundada por Alfonso IX cuando peregrinaba a Compostela. En el XIII era un punto importante y obligado en el itinerario de las peregrinaciones y para su cobijo se levantaron varios hospitales en ella, siendo uno de los más importantes el  gran hospital de la Magdalena.
